Jan Age Fjortoft has spoken out after witnessing something of a clash in the tunnel after yesterday’s Manchester Derby between Manchester United and Manchester City.
Speaking in the video clip below, Fjortoft said City star Jack Grealish was involved, though he insisted it was a fairly ‘normal’ thing to witness after a big game like this, with the England international clearly disappointed with the manner of the result.
See below as Fjortoft discusses what went on after the big game at Old Trafford, which saw Man Utd take all three points, partly due to a highly controversial equaliser from Bruno Fernandes…
Marcus Rashford ended up scoring the winner, with United now surely back in the Premier League title race.
The Red Devils are now just one point behind City in the table, though they could be as much as eight points behind Arsenal today if Mikel Arteta’s side can beat Tottenham in the North London Derby.

Alejandro Garnacho was quick to describe Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford as ‘one of the best in the world right now’ after the Reds’ derby victory over Manchester City on Saturday.
Rashford scored the winning goal for Erik ten Hag’s side, with the Reds climbing up to third in the Premier League table following the win over their rivals. It was City who took the lead in the clash through Jack Grealish, but Bruno Fernandes levelled proceedings in controversial fashion.
Having found the back of the net against Pep Guardiola’s men, Rashford has now registered 16 goals in 26 appearances so far this season, including eight in the Premier League.
Garnacho, who replaced Christian Eriksen in the 72nd minute, impressed after coming on and provided the assist for Rashford’s winning strike. The young Argentine was delighted with the impact he made, and was keen to praise his teammate for his calm finish from close range.
The 18-year-old took to social media after the game, writing: “THIS CITY IS OUR CITY!! @ManUtd… Assistance to one of the best in the world right now @MarcusRashford”.
Rashford has already scored 11 more goals than he managed in the entirety of last campaign, with the 25-year-old comfortably back to his best after a difficult season last term. Following the win over City, he was also lauded by striker coach Benni McCarthy – as well as several other teammates.
Commenting on the England international’s Instagram post, McCarthy wrote: “Keep that (fire) burning bro… plenty more to come.”
United face Crystal Palace in their next Premier League match, with the Reds travelling to Selhurst Park on Wednesday evening.
