Many a person alleges that beneath this village of 2,623 inhabitants there are miles of caverns housing thousands of people and aliens – the extraterrestrial kind.
Secret bases around the world
The purpose of the Dulce Base Complex, an ULTRA project, has been to conduct black budget experiments.
A number of underground Sites were in planning by the Armed Forces Special Weapons Project (AFSWP) from 1947 to 6 May 1959. Construction of deep underground military bases began right away with the designation to “store nuclear weapons” from the Manhattan Project.
The underground complexes were typically built into mountain ranges. Global Security.org describes these complexes as being built “deep inside”. Two confirmed locations under this command was Manzano Base, NM and Killeen Base, TX.
According to The Krill Report (1988) underground bases have been established all over the world, especially in the United States. One such base is under Archuleta Mesa, which is about 2.5 miles northwest of Dulce, New Mexico.
The report details Paul Bennewitz’ account of having been able to determine the location of Dulce Base: a kilometer underground beneath Archuleta Mesa on the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation near Dulce, New Mexico.
Since 1976, this was one of the areas of the U.S. that was hardest hit by cattle mutilations. Bennewitz’ information is that this installation is operated jointly as part of an on-going program of cooperation between the U.S. government and aliens.
The Fundamentals of Dulce
The stories about Dulce have some small variations but there are some basic elements to the theories. Among these are:
1. The underground complex is a laboratory where the grays – the skinny aliens, with large, hairless head, huge eyes and no nose – conduct experiments on animals and humans
2. The United States Federal Government try out new Alien technology
3. The technology was acquired in exchange for allowing the grays to perform the experiments
4. At one point, apparently in the late 1970s or early 1980s, there was an underground war between the humans and the grays. Who won is still unknown.
Another, less common element to the theory holds that there is also a reptilian race, living in the caves. The reptilians are old enemies of the grays which have been defeated and are now subservient to the smarter grays.
Of course, another story is that the reptilians are part of an old Earth race that was defeated by humans and have since been living in caves, mostly in New Mexico and the Gobi Desert.
From Dulce a network of tunnels spreads out to the Los Alamos Laboratory — where the first American nuclear weapons were developed and where many cutting edge technologies are still being developed — Area 51 in Nevada, Carlsbad Caverns and other places.
Before the 1980s, virtually nobody had heard of Dulce. There was the occasional hum coming from underground, believed to be minor earth tremors, and the sporadic sighting of UFOs in the area, but nothing more.
Air Force Contractor Claims Discovery of Secret Base
Then appeared Paul Bennewitz, a businessman, physicist and UFO buff, who had a contract to build high-altitude testing equipment for the Air Force. Most of the apparatus went to Kirkland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, home to the Air Force Nuclear Weapons.
He claimed to have found proof of a super secret program to track Soviet satellites based in Dulce. Somehow Bennewitz, who was already interested in alien abduction and cattle mutilation, construed the satellite tracking activities as confirmation of extraterrestrial presence on Earth.
Paul Bennewitz
His announcement was even ignored by other UFO researchers who at best considered it disinformation, due to his ties to the Air Force. However, by the time Bennewitz died in 2005, his story had taken a life of its own in the web.
As the stories go, the huge base’s main entrance is on Archuleta Mesa and it leads to a, at least, seven-level installations. The top levels are occupied by humans but levels six and seven, called “Nightmare Hell,” is where the grays perform their experiments on humans and animals. Entrances to all levels are marked in some sort of alien alphabet.
There is no evidence of any cave existing there. Of course Ufologists, former abductees and other inner-Earth researchers claim that a ground-penetrating radar study was made and the evidence suppressed.
Witnesses say that there is an unusual high level of military and UFO activity in the area. No hard evidence has been found and stories about this base are similar to those of other supposed secret government installations.
The skeptics will continue to dismiss the Dulce case as just another myth or urban legend while the believers will persist with their accusations of what is going on there.
