Kemba Walker Could Sign With The Boston Celtics, According To Jayson Tatum

Jayson Tatum Suggests Kemba Walker Could Sign With Boston Celtics - Fadeaway World

Former All-Star point guard Kemba Walker was renowned for his capacity to score frequently and generate his own shot from the outside. However, as of now, the seasoned point guard fits the bill as a reliable backup who can add some energy off the bench.

Recently, it was reported that Kemba Walker was waived by the Dallas Mavericks. However, it may not be long until he finds a new home. A recent Tweet from Jayson Tatum suggests that he wants the point guard on the Boston Celtics, and we’ll see if Kemba Walker makes his way over there in the future.

Kemba Walker has already had a stint with the Boston Celtics, notably helping the team reach the Eastern Conference Finals during the 2020 playoffs. Hopefully, he does end up getting an opportunity there, and he could definitely help the team coming off the bench.

Kemba Walker Wanted More Playing Time Next To Luka Doncic

On the Dallas Mavericks, Kemba Walker was a solid veteran who only got limited minutes, despite his offensive talent. He was a player that was willing to fit in next to Luka Doncic, noting that he wanted more playing time next to the young superstar.

Kemba Walker, asked about more potential time in rotation with Luka Doncic: “I would love it. No question. Who doesn’t want to play with that kid? He’s special. But yeah, like I said, I really just do what I’m asked. That’s what I’m here for.”

As Walker mentions here, it is hard to imagine a player not wanting to play with Luka Doncic. He is an extremely talented player who is a generational talent, and his mere presence on the court makes life easier for his teammates. It is unfortunate that Kemba Walker never really got an opportunity to play next to Luka Doncic.

If he ends up joining the Boston Celtics, Kemba Walker could end up being in a good situation on a franchise that is a good fit for him. He would be a rotational player for the team and could potentially play next to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Though the Boston Celtics are a defense-oriented team, there will be times when they need a solid offensive guard who can get buckets like Kemba Walker.

Hopefully, we see Kemba Walker sign with a team in the near future, whether that team is the Boston Celtics or another team. He is still a solid veteran who can contribute on the court and in the locker room, and perhaps we’ll see teams get in contact with him soon.
