Arsenal have taken up their option to extend Bukayo Saka’s contract by a further 12 months to 2024.
Saka’s previous deal, signed in 2020, was an initial three-year agreement but, as expected, Arsenal triggered the additional year before last month’s deadline while finalising a longer-term deal for the 21-year-old England winger remains a priority.
Arsenal have activated similar clauses to extend the deals of William Saliba, also to 2024, and young midfielder Charlie Patino to 2025.

The Premier League leaders are to make an improved offer for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.
Saka was praised by fans and pundits for his performance against Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
He has now scored six league goals for the Gunners this season and become a vital cog in a team bidding for the title.
