Former MU striker Wayne Rooney claims Messi and Ronaldo are out of time

Former MU striker Wayne Rooney declared, Messi and Ronaldo are out of time, now it’s Haaland with the best Kylian Mbappe in the world.

According to Rooney, right now, no one plays better than Man City’s scoring machine – Erling Haaland. Along with Kylian Mbappe (PSG), the Norwegian player defeated the dominance of Messi and Ronaldo that lasted for the past decade.

“Erling Haaland is the best player in the world right now. Lionel Messi is a great player but at the moment, no one plays better than Haaland.

Rooney told The Times: “We had the era of Messi and Ronaldo, but now it’s Haaland’s time with Kylian Mbappe.”

The former MU striker, who played with Ronaldo from 2004-2009 at Old Trafford, confronted Messi many times in Barca’s colors, saying: “As long as we keep up the good form, the golden ball will belong to Haaland. Why not, he is the best performer after what he showed on the pitch. It’s really hard to stop him from scoring.”

Pep Guardiola is extremely happy to have Haaland in the Man City squadHaaland has now had 48 goals for Man City in all competitions in his first season at the Etihad. He and his teammates are facing the opportunity to treble: got tickets to the FA Cup final, entered the Champions League semi-finals to face Real Madrid and put intense pressure on Arsenal in the English Premier League.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo is now 38 years old, has to “drift” to play for Al Nassr, Saudi Arabia after being rejected by European teams. As for Messi, the future is not clear when the agreement with PSG will expire at the end of June.

Messi won the trophy (World Cup 2022 with Argentina) 4 months ago. However, Messi did not help PSG in the Champions League arena, while the team was eliminated early in the round of 16 in two seasons with him.
