An adorable elephant calf accidentally fell into a watering hole while playing with its herd. It made a call to one of its friends using its trunk to ask for help. Luckily, the calf’s mother was on hand to rescue it in Addo Elephant Park, South Africa.
Charmaine Joubert, who captured the shots, said that the elephant calves are always entertaining at a waterhole, especially on hot days. She managed to capture the calf just before it slid in backwards. A second very inquisitive calf then came in and joined him. She managed to get a few clear images before they were surrounded by the herd.
