Dwayne Johnson was an integral part of the WWE in the Attitude era. He was famous for his intense promos and epic rivalries during the time. But a sizeable segment of his storylines also consisted of humor and fun parts that piqued the interest of the audience.
In 2003, his brief rivalry with Gregory Helms was one of the major attractions for the WWE Universe. The rivalry (heel Johnson vs Superhero Helms) had tons of comedic elements to it, where the two stars delivered funny promos backstage.
Channeling his comedic superpowers from back in the day, Helms recently shared a meme that left the fans dying with laughter.

Going to his Instagram account, ‘The Hurricane’ shared a meme featuring himself and ‘The People’s Champion’. In the meme, fans can see both the stars shaking their hands. And it sarcastically implies that he inspired Johnson when he was young. And his encouragement made him a successful person today.
Seeing this meme, the WWE Universe was quick to react on Instagram. Fans found the post really funny and left some hilarious comments under the post. Here are some of the top comments from the fans.

Hurricane Helms defeated ‘The Great One in’ an episode of Monday Night Raw in March 2003. The latter was in his prime at the time. It shocked the entire WWE Universe to see him lose, but it was The Rock’s idea in the first place. Nevertheless, it remains one of the greatest upsets in the history of WWE.
But also, the comedic touch to their rivalry made it one of the iconic storylines of that era. The meme is in reference to this story and jokingly implies that Gregory Helms’ influence on ‘DJ’ helped him shine later in his career.
