Followers quickly tried to warn the former two-division champion that what his account ‘liked’ can be seen by the public.
The pornographic video in question displayed a man pleasuring himself.
After McGregor’s name began trending, the ‘like’ was subsequently removed, but not before eagle-eyed followers screen-grabbed it.
‘UHHHHH HEY CONOR YOUR LIKES ARE PUBLIC,’ commented the Spinning Backfist account.
‘What a lovely day, I think I’ll look at Conor McGregor’s likes on Twitter – oh good heavens,’ said another.
McGregor’s account deleted the reference to the X-rated video – but not before MMA fans were able to screen shot it (pictured)

Earlier in the week, McGregor took to Instagram to send a vitriolic message to UFC fighter Kelvin Gastelum – mocking his latest injury, which has ruled him out of this weekend’s main event against Nassourdine Imavov.
In a story post, McGregor wrote: ‘Absolute scruff this thing is. That’s full on staph infection all over his f***ing face. A full f***ing hole omg and it’s his second time to attempt to enter competition like this. wtf! clean your mats. wash yourself. f*****g go to the doctor! Scruff.’
McGregor targeted former interim UFC middleweight title challenger and The Ultimate Fighter 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum who posted a picture of himself with a mouth injury and what McGregor suspects is a staph infection
Staph infections are caused by staphylococcus bacteria, which can be found on the ground, human skin and in the nose. UFC fighters are prone to transmission of the disease due to the nature of close contact in training.
Gastelum fired back at Notorious on Wednesday night, writing on Twitter: ‘Relax u lil leprechaun. The coke and steroids are kicking in.’
It is not the first time McGregor has criticised Gastelum over his battles with staph infection. In 2019 the Irishman labelled him a ‘worm’ before Gastelum’s scheduled bout with Robert Whittaker.
McGregor’s last fight was in July 2021, when he suffered a first round defeat to Dustin Poirier after breaking his tibia
