LeBron James was serious about finishing the series and getting to the Western Conference Finals going into Game 6 against the Warriors. He dominated, scoring 30 points and doing it incredibly efficiently.
The play that most epitomized that LeBron James was not going to let anything get in his way was when Andrew Wiggins whacked him in the face. LeBron wasn’t fazed, though, getting the bucket through contact.

The series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors was quite physical, and it took a toll on both sides. Anthony Davis had a concussion in Game 5 that caused him to leave in a wheelchair. Andrew Wiggins himself had a rib issue that could have kept him out of the game. But ultimately, it’s about who can overcome these things, and LeBron James has always been among the best to do that.
James had a rough go of it in Game 6, he attempted 11 free throws after getting fouled relentlessly. But the King is at his best when he ignores all that and plays with force, which is exactly what he did. This set the tone for the Los Angeles Lakers, who ended up winning the whole thing quite comfortably in the end.
LeBron James Showed All The Warriors Stars Respect After The Game
LeBron James and the Golden State Warriors were rivals for a huge chunk of the late 2010s. They’ve had many battles at the highest level over the years, and there have been plenty of reasons for animosity to gather. However, LeBron has shown time and again that he has nothing but love and respect for the Warriors’ stars. He did so again after the Game 6 win, having conversations with every one of them, including Andrew Wiggins.
Another player might have gotten frustrated with the physical play, but LeBron James has always welcomed tough competition. He knows the end goal is simply to win the championship, so all of this is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Seeing him play like this must be ringing alarm bells for the Lakers’ next opponents, the Nuggets. If LeBron is playing with this kind of fire, there isn’t a tougher playoff opponent to go up against in the entire NBA.
