Robert Downey Jr. last month added a 3,384 square-foot Malibu mansion to his portfolio for $3.5 million.
The Academy Award nominee, 52, purchased the three-bedroom, three-bathroom dwelling, which sits on 1.3 acres, through his limited liability company.
And in a case of life imitating art, the Iron Man star now resides in a beachside Malibu mansion just like his alter ego in the Marvel series, Tony Stark.

The Sherlock Holmes actor’s new acquisition, a single-story home, was built in 1972, according to Realtor.com, and has a massive sliding glass door that spans from the floor to ceiling, and across the walls.
A balcony (fenced in by glass) sits over the Pacific Ocean, providing panoramic views of the water.
The home’s wood-finished kitchen, which is adjacent to the living room, is built around a trapezoid-shaped island with a sink. It has two Viking gas range ovens with a glass-tiled rectangular area in the backsplash.

The mansion in the well-heeled beach community was put up for sale about a month ago, and the sale went through quickly and efficiently.
Downey has been beefing up his real estate holdings this spring, as he also plunked down $11.5 million on an East Hamptons home known for its enormous windmill.
Downey reprises his iconic Marvel role in this summer’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, hitting theaters July 7.
