One thong is all it takes to become a style icon.
Peekaboo G-strings aren’t going away anytime soon — and perhaps no star’s a bigger fan of the aughts-inspired “whale tail” than Dua Lipa.
So it should come as no surprise that the “One Kiss” singer incorporated the racy trend into her upcoming collaboration with Versace, which is set to debut during a fashion show in Cannes, France, on May 23.
Lipa, 27, and Donatella Versace posed together for a black-and-white still to tease the team-up, with the Grammy winner modeling an open-backed gown with an exposed thong branded with the house’s iconic Medusa logo.

In a Versace press release, Lipa said she was “absolutely thrilled” about the project, adding, “For [Versace] to give me the honor of co-designing this collection and letting all my summer inspirations go wild has been a dream.”
Donatella, meanwhile, described Lipa as “strong, fearless, and free,” calling her creative vision “exceptional.”
This is far from the first time the “Levitating” hitmaker’s pushed the look of peekaboo panties.
In 2021, the Albanian-British beauty heated up instagram in a cutout Mônot gown worn with a very visible Savage X Fenty thong.

And earlier this year, Lipa rang in 2023 wearing a crystal mesh Ludovic de Saint Sernin party dress with a plunging back that put her undies on display.
Dua and Donatella have a long history together, with the songstress opting for Versace looks for many high-profile appearances over the years.
She wore several designs from the house at the 2021 Grammys, and opted for a black Versace bondage dress at the same ceremony the following year.
She also made her runway debut for Versace in 2021 — and most recently, she attended the brand’s star-studded Los Angeles show in March.
