Fourth-placed United currently lead fifth-placed Spurs in the Premier League by six points in the race for a top-four finish
A win for the Red Devils would almost certainly guarantee them a spot in Europe’s premier competition next season.
It would also see them continue to challenge Newcastle for a third-place finish, as the Magpies take on Everton.
However, should the North London side bounce back, then it could blow the race wide open.
A draw would help United more as it would keep Spurs at a safe distance heading into the run-in.
The Old Trafford outfit have dominated their opponents in the head-to-head since the start of the Premier League.
United have beaten Tottenham 20 times in their 34 meetings, losing seven and drawing seven.
United won the reverse fixture 2-0 at Old Trafford in October with Fred and Bruno Fernandes netting the goals.
What is their form like?
Erik ten Hag’s men are heading into the fixture in good form in the league having won their last three games without conceding a goal.
Tottenham, however, have only picked won once in their last five games in the league.
But Ryan Mason will be hoping he can inspire the team after he took charge of the team on an interim basis for the second time.
However, it is a tough ask as Spurs have only beaten United once in their last eight attempts.
In fact, Tottenham have not beaten United at home since 2018 when Christian Eriksen and an own goal from Phil Jones handed them victory.
What is the team news and any injuries to worry about?
Tottenham have issues on and off the field as Hugo Lloris could be out of this huge match after coming off with a suspected groin injury against Newcastle.

If unavailable, the World Cup winner will be joining Emerson (knee), Rodrigo Bentancur (knee), Yves Bissouma (ankle) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring).
Elsewhere, Erik ten Hag has some injury troubles of his own with a number of key players unlikely to feature.
The centre-back pairing of Lisandro Martinez (foot) and Raphael Varane (knock) are set to remain sidelined.
And they’ll be in the treatment room with Alejandro Garnacho (ankle), Tom Heaton (ankle), Donny van de Beek (knee).
While Scott McTominay (knock) will need to be assessed before the game.
Who will be the star men?
Marcus Rashford will be the player to watch for the Red Devils.
The forward has been in fantastic form this season having netted 27 goals in all competitions this season.
The England international has scored four goals in 13 appearances against Spurs, and has come out on the winning side nine times.
And he will be eyeing up more against Tottenham’s fragile defence.
For the hosts, the star will likely be Harry Kane. The England captain netted in the heavy defeat to Newcastle as he continued his fine form in front of goal this season.
Kane has fired in 24 goals in 32 league appearances this season as he continues to prove his importance to Spurs.
However, his record against United leaves much to be desired.
In 18 games facing the Red Devils, the striker has only scored five goals and provided two assists.
This could be a perfect chance for Kane to audition for his potential new employers, with United keen on signing him this summer.
