Dwayne Johnson and John Cena had been rivals for as long as their primary careers were as wrestlers in the WWE. While as actors, they are friends who always stand up for each other and encourage each other. As WWE rivals, they would always try to bring each other down as far as it concerned the ring. A lot of what the wrestling league follows through is via what the audience likes and adores.
Cena and Johnson, or as he was known by the league, The Rock, were always the biggest crowd attractors. So they would often talk trash about each other. One particular incident became rather iconic by just how Cena reacted to a threat that was supposed to insult him. However, the way he handled it became a moment to remember.
John Cena Was Threatened By Dwayne Johnson
John Cena was met with an unusual surprise when he went on Jimmy Kimmel’s show. The host had made the wrestler familiar with the fact that Dwayne Johnson had been on the show the previous night. Not only that, the wrester-turned-actor had left a message for the Peacemaker actor.
“If you think you are making threats to me by thinking making me shovel a toothbrush to my bum is a threat. I got some advice for you, pal, and by pal, I totally mean my best friend.”
He told Cena that if he was ever in Johnson’s way, then he would have grave consequences to deal with. These consequences were threats about how The Rock would shove Cena’s teeth into his throat so deep that the actor would have to use a toothbrush up his rectal area to even brush his teeth. The Suicide Squad actor took this threat in the best way possible and seemed unphased by it. Furthermore, he gave out an incredible response to it.
John Cena Responded To Dwayne Johnson’s Threat In The Most Iconic Way
John Cena took the threat in quite an interesting way. He immediately chose to respond to the actor and even called him his best friend and pal. More so, he added how the threat was nowhere near as interesting as he had hoped and that Cena was already used to a lot of such mockery and threatening comments.
“If you think shoving a toothbrush up my b**t is a threat, you gotta news coming. There’s been a funnel up there, there’s been a parking code, and there’s more traffic in that region than a Monday on the 405 in both directions.”
He also joked about how the only reason Johnson would have threatened him in the first place would be because he personally wanted to use the toothbrush. Although their back and forth continued for a long time. It ended when they both became actors who wanted to see each other succeed.
