The Stradman visits the Lamborghini lounge in New York City and catches a glimpse of their first hybrid supercar, the Revuelto.

When it comes to Italian supercars, Ferrari and Lamborghini are likely the two brands that first come to mind. They’re both world-renowned, and the former is much older.

In The Stradman’s latest video, James expresses the significance of the names of what he considers his favorite manufacturer, Lamborghini. Be it the Countach, Diablo, Murcielago, or Aventador, many of Lamborghini’s household models are distinct to their respective generations of enthusiasts.

For quite some time, the Aventador was Lamborghini’s youngest flagship car. James considers this his generation’s Lamborghini. But as his recent video reveals, there will soon be an even younger sibling to the Aventador known as the recently announced Revuelto.

A Lamborghini Revuelto In The Lounge

James considers himself quite fortunate to tour the Lamborghini lounge in New York City where the brand new Revuelto was waiting to return home to Italy. James and his Lamborghini dealer Alan, were the last few visitors permitted to tour the car. It was certainly perfect timing to explore up close the very model James pre-ordered because this might be his only chance prior to receiving his own personal Revuelto.

That delivery date isn’t yet determined. But the lounge’s orange Revuelto carries the same specifications as the car James ordered, all except for the color. The deep orange was also balanced with a healthy amount of carbon fiber in the mirrors, side skirts, vents, rear deck lid, and diffuser.

Matte carbon further influenced the high-tech interior’s tone where there was even a designated slot to keep the car key. The steering wheel also came with drive-mode controls. This included Cheetah mode, Strata mode, Sport mode, and a Full Corsa mode that unlocked all 1,001 hp.

James was not able to test these modes. Driving the Revuelto and proving the exhaust shoots flames was strictly prohibited in the lounge. Yet, figures like the 9,250 rpm range are impressive. This surpasses the Lexus LFA’s 9,000 rpm redline. Alan also disclosed the 217 mph top speed and 0 to 60 time of 2.5 seconds, outputted by the 6.5 liter V12 and three electric motors.

The Revuelto also marks the first hybrid Lamborghini that isn’t powered exclusively by their famous V12. Yet, it was pleasing for James to see that this mid-engine supercar kept its heritage intact by keeping the original V12 alongside the electric motors.

When the time comes, James plans to drive his own personal Revuelto from New York City to his home in Utah to indulge in the full experience. The estimated starting price for this hybrid supercar is a staggering $550,000. When released, the purchase of a Revuelto will undoubtedly be an event in its own right, both for those who can afford it and for the next generation of Lamborghini enthusiasts to witness.
