Growing up in severe poverty, he was told that he would never be a football player, and now he is on the roof of Europe

Namely, this 25-year-old was born in Barrancas, Colombia and did not have an easy childhood at all. Football was his greatest love and he didn’t give up even when they told him he wasn’t good enough.

Diaz grew up in the Barranquilla team, where he passed all the youth categories. Then they told him that he was simply not good enough to be a professional player, and that he did not have the physical predisposition for what a football player needs.

Everyone told him to give up football and focus on other things, but he never gave up. He fought like a lion to make his dream come true, and now he has been rewarded in the best way.

Diaz grew up in the poorest part of Colombia and always had a dream to succeed and help his family. Although almost no one believed in him, in the end he managed to make his dream come true, and last night’s tears showed how proud he is to play in the biggest club final in the world.

He came to Europe in 2019 when he arrived in Porto from Colombian Junior for seven million euros. In Junior, he showed that he is very talented and that everyone was wrong when they said that he would never become a successful football player.

Diaz had two fantastic years in Porto, and his life completely turned around in January of this year when he signed for Liverpool for 45 million euros. With the Reds, he is on the verge of winning as many as four trophies, and most importantly, he has already shown that he is a fantastic player and a great reinforcement.

He never gave up on his dreams no matter how hard it was for him and how much people stopped him from doing so. Now he will play in the final of the Champions League, and until a few years ago he survived in Colombia and fought for every brand.
