Whenever a sick or injured puppy is rescued, the story is worthwhile to tell but for this lucky little pup, the fact that he was nursed back to health by chimpanzees means his survival story is very unique.
When Jenny was driving along the streets of a remote village in Liberia one day she spotted a tiny fur baby in ᴅɪʀᴇ in need of help. Jenny and Jim Desmond, who runs the Liberia Chimpanzee Rescue in West Africa.
It wasn’t a chimpanzee, but a little pup riddled with infections, and worms and looked very hungry. So, she picked the puppy up and took it in. The couple gave Snafu the ᴍᴇᴅɪᴄᴀʟ attention she needed to get well.
However, the puppy was still in ᴄʀɪᴛɪᴄᴀʟ condition. That’s when she met the other members of the sanctuary. The chimps there loved Snafu. They cuddled with her and cared for her like she was their own kind.
Due to all the love she received, Snafu’s health came back in a matter of weeks. She looks adorable playing with her family of chimps! 
The chimps seemed to know that the puppy was delicate and were very careful with the little dog. They acted as though they loved him so much and treated him like a little baby, even being careful with the tiny collar he wore. The care he was given was so sweet and adorable.
She’s now in a loving home with two sisters and a mom and dad that love her dearly and it’s all thanks to a sanctuary that cares and some loving chimpanzees.
