In Kansas, Overland Park police officer Andy Black was working off-duty at a mall when a woman with a baby had a seizure. When he got over to her, she started coming out of it, but was still too weak to tend to her 2-month-old baby in the carrier next to her.
So Andy asked her if it would be okay if he picked her up. She nodded her head “yes,” as paramedics were making their way to the woman. So Officer Black picked up the little baby girl and started feeding her her bottle.
A passerby, Jilli Nel, snapped a photo of the officer taking care of the young girl. And that photo quickly went viral over the Internet.

The woman’s husband soon arrived and the officer helped the family out to the awaiting ambulance. Officer Black was quite shocked when his photo with the baby started making its way around Facebook.
Says the officer: “I can’t believe it, to me it’s such a small thing, but I’m glad it worked out the way it has because law enforcement can use some positive reinforcement.”
