The Argentinian’s father assures that they have not spoken to Joan Laporta
Leo Messi‘s future remains unclear. He has not yet renewed his contract with PSG, although they are in negotiations, but what seems to be decided is that he will not return to Barcelona. It is not in his plans for the moment, nor has the Blaugrana board made any kind of approach in this regard.
Jorge Messi has acknowledged that he does not see his son playing for Barcelona again.
“I don’t think Leo will play for Barcelona again. We haven’t spoken to Laporta and there is no offer,” the Argentine’s father told Sport at El Prat airport.
The Catalan president has acknowledged on countless occasions that he would like Messi to return to Camp Nou, but his return seems almost impossible.
Not only does the club have serious problems with their finances, making it impossible to accommodate Messi, but also relations between the two parties are not the best, as his brother Matias recently stated, who launched an attack against Laporta.

PSG are offering 35-year-old Messi an extra year on his contract. His priority is to stay in Paris, whom he joined after his failed renewal with Barcelona in the summer of 2021, but there is still no financial agreement.
This season, Messi has played in 26 games, scoring 15 goals and providing 14 assists.
