For more than ten years, one of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces has been making fun of the media, interviewers, and fans. In an interview he gave to GQ magazine in February 2022, Robert Pattinson made the admission in advance of his debut as Bruce Wayne in The Batman.
Everyone questions the veracity of Pattinson’s stories when he recounts them. It has been hard to determine what is true and what is not since he has told so many wild things. Was he fabricating all the lies in that GQ article?
The actor said that he occasionally tells downright lies in interviews. The English actor has occasionally received absurd responses in reaction to his statement becoming viral. Pattinson told Willem Dafoe in an article for Interview Magazine,
“I definitely do get a certain high from it. There’s a little gremlin inside of me that thinks, ‘Just say something shocking. You’re only here for a few minutes, say something terrible.’ There’s a kind of perverse glee I get from that. But I’ve given my publicist a number of heart attacks.”
After the interview with GQ and other magazines, almost all media outlets and fans began to dig into all the lies Pattinson has told. To everyone’s surprise, there were quite a few. With more than a decade’s worth of lies, Pattinson has built a mythology around himself over the course of more than ten years, some of which include tales about seeing a clown die.

Nonetheless, a few much anticipated forthcoming DC films, such as the Joker and The Batman sequels, are situated outside of the main chronology.
