Texas Parents Have ‘Amazing’ Reunion with Newborns Quadruplets After Winter Storm Keeps Them Apart

Winter storm Uri caused a Texas couple who were separated from their NᴇᴡʙᴏʀɴꜱQᴜᴀᴅʀᴜᴘʟᴇᴛꜱ for more than a week to eventually be reunited with them.

About a month before the extreme winter weather ʜɪᴛ their home state, Starlyn and Bill Cafferata welcomed son Enzo and daughters Lennon, Fʀᴀɴᴄᴇsca, and Stella on January 18.

The parents had no idea that the winter storm would eventually cause havoc in Texas, claiming the lives of at least 40 people, leaving millions of others without electricity or water, and creating hazardous travel conditions.

According to GMA, the Cafferatas were stuck at home like ᴍᴀɴy other residents, unable to visit their infants who were being cared for in the neonatal intensive care unit at St. David’s Women’s Center of Texas.

But after spending eight long days apart, Starlyn and Bill—who are also the parents of a 2-year-old girl named Zo—finally were able to visit their young children.

Starlyn and Bill battled infertility for a very long time prior to the birth of their children, according to GMA.

The pair began sharing their journey on TikTok and Instagram as CaffSquad after Starlyn became Pʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ with Qᴜᴀᴅʀᴜᴘʟᴇᴛꜱ.

The parents’ fan base has expanded over time, and they currently have over 43,000 Instagram followers and another 478,000 on TikTok.

The Cafferatas continued to share pictures of their children on social media channels even after the Bᴀʙɪᴇꜱ were delivered and admitted to the NICU.

They were unable to see their Nᴇᴡʙᴏʀɴꜱ for days when the winter storm ʜɪᴛ.

The couple uploaded a video of themselves traveling to the hospital on February 21. Starlyn captioned the video, saying, “This is the unadulterated joy you have upon seeing your children again after an 8-day absence due to an unusual ice/snow storm in Texas! Although this video is a few days old, the storm was no laughing matter! For about a week, the roads were absolutely impassable.”

Thousands of people left comments and liked the video, which led to its eventual ᴠɪʀᴀʟ ty.

Regarding the sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇ ᴠɪʀᴀʟ event, Starlyn said to GMA, “We are really happy that others care about our infants and are invested like we are.”

Since that day, Fʀᴀɴᴄᴇsca and Lennon, according to a video on the couple’s Instagram, have returned home. According to GMA, Stella and Enzo are still in the NICU but should leave shortly.
