Gerri Wolfe, 41, said she was “devastated” after learning of a problem during her 36th week of pregnancy that forced her to undergo a cesarean section despite preferring a more natural childbirth experience.

Gerri checked up her options online and decided on a cesarean delivery with the assistance of the mother because she would not accept. The procedure is essentially a standard C-section, save for the last few moments when the mother is allowed to physically remove the infant from her own ᴡᴏᴍʙ. Who even knew that this strategy was viable?

Definitely not Gerri’s physician. Her OB/GYN initially flatly rejected the unusual strategy! He changed his stance, nevertheless, after Gerri begged him and exhorted him to carry out his own research.

By pulling out two children during her ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀᴏᴜs self-assisted delivery, Gerri upped the ante and gave birth to healthy twin girls called Matilda and Violet.
