Chelsea transfer news: Catch all the latest Chelsea headlines including updates on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Victor Osimhen, Mateo Kovacic and Todd Boehly’s secret meeting.
Chelsea are stepping up their preparations ahead of the London derby against West Ham this weekend. Graham Potter has been boosted by the return of two more star players heading into the game with Mateo Kovacic and Denis Zakaria recovering from injury.
The Blues sit ninth in the Premier League but are hoping for a strong second half of the season that could see them competing for Europe. The Hammers are just one point off the relegation zone and will hope to avoid defeat at home against the Blues who are unbeaten in their last three matches.
Despite the end of the January transfer window, Chelsea have completed yet another signing with Jimmy-Jay Morgan joining the club’s academy from Southampton in a £3million deal. Victor Osimhen continues to be linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge ahead of the summer transfer window, but Todd Boehly has plenty of options to consider should he miss out on his priority target.

Two-year record
Chelsea will be looking to keep their feint hopes of a top four place alive on Saturday afternoon as they make the short trip to the London Stadium to take on West Ham United.
The Blues have won four out of their past five meetings in the Premier League with the Hammers, including in September where Kai Havertz scored a late winner to overturn a one-goal deficit for the hosts at Stamford Bridge. However, Chelsea have won just one of their past five matches at the London Stadium against the Irons – the 1-0 win in April 2021.
West Ham have had a very disappointing season so far by their high standards. David Moyes’ team are sitting just one point above the relegation zone after their first 21 games. The Hammers, however, do still pose a threat and Chelsea and Graham Potter will know that when the sides come head-to-head on Saturday lunchtime.

Chelsea transfer priority revealed after Todd Boehly sent £107m demand for ‘next Didier Drogba’
Chelsea have spent big in the transfer market since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital Group completed a £4billion takeover at Stamford Bridge. The Blues splashed over £323million on eight new players in January – more than all clubs in the Italian, German, French and Spanish top flights combined.
Despite 16 players joining Graham Potter’s squad causing the manager to have a slight headache in terms of his team selection, fans are excited heading into the second half of the season as Chelsea aim to recover qualification for European football next season. Many feel that the mass rebuild at Stamford Bridge could come back to bite the Blues in the future, but it looks as though the spending will continue in the summer.
A new striker is seen as a priority for Potter this summer despite Nkunku being able to play as a No.9. Joao Felix’s loan spell from Atletico Madrid will come to an end in the summer leaving the Blues with Kai Havertz, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Armando Broja.
Broja’s recent injury has hampered his development, whilst Aubameyang is expected to leave the club with LAFC having ‘agreed’ a loan deal that would see the 33-year-old move to America. Romelu Lukaku will return from his loan spell at Inter Milan this summer, but the Serie A side are keen on keeping the Belgian forward who struggled after his £97million move back to Stamford Bridge in 2021.
Napoli star Victor Osimhen has emerged as Chelsea’s priority transfer target to sign at striker. The Nigerian forward has been compared to Didier Drogba by former Blues boss Jose Mourinho, with the Italian outfit demanding a fee in excess of £100million for their star striker.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a switch to Manchester United but it seems that the Blues will fight their rivals for Osimhen’s signature this summer. The Nigeria international has scored 17 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions this term and is lighting up Serie A with his stunning form in front of goal, firing Napoli 13 points clear at the top of the table.
