Known as one of the sweetest and most wholesome actors in the industry, Paul Rudd has a reputation for being a friendly and merry person. But what many may not know is that he can be really competitive when he wants to be. This flame of competition was recently ignited within him when he was in the process of prepping his body to take on the Quantum Realm as Ant-Man in the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
During an interview with Men’s Health, the star was talking about how it was harder than before to get into shape from the previous Ant-Man and The Wasp, partly because he had indulged himself a little bit more than intended into cheat meals, and also because he was gaining years on his birthdays. But when he remembered that he had friends and co-stars in the MCU who looked better than him, he took up the challenge to get the best shape he could for the movie. He said:
“I can be a hyper-focused person if I have a goal, If I’m doing one of these movies, and I know that in four months, I have to do a shirtless scene, I’m pretty dialled in. I also try and find the happy medium. I could work out hard and eat perfectly, and I’ll still look worse than most of the other Avengers.”
But after watching him in the trailers of the upcoming film, it doesn’t look like the FRIENDS star has anything to worry about in the department of looks.
