Cristiano Ronaldo left his new Al-Nassr team-mate stunned after a spectacular display of athleticism.
The 37-year-old icon joined the Saudi Arabian club earlier this month after being offered a whopping £175million-per-year deal. He has endured swathes of criticism both for his recent performances and behaviour at Manchester United – and then for Portugal at the World Cup.
But as he approaches 38 next month, the iconic forward has showcased exactly why he still has ‘it’ and is now the highest-paid player of all time.
The Portuguese superstar was snapped in training in a tweet posted by Al-Nassr’s official account. It showed the ex-Real Madrid man leaping several feet in the air and towering over everyone else in trademark fashion.
Hilariously, one of his new team-mates could also be seen in his shadow – mouth wide open and seemingly in awe of Ronaldo’s athleticism two decades into his career.
It prompted the Saudi Arabian club to caption the picture with a goat emoji, labelling Ronaldo “the best” and writing: “He rises in Al-Nassr.”

But while Ronaldo’s team-mates pinch themselves at his arrival in the Middle-East, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is still yet to make his debut. That is due to him being forced to serve a two-match ban from his time as a United player.
Ronaldo had to watch his new club’s 2-0 win over Al-Ta’ee from the stands and then the dressing room, having slapped a phone out of a young Everton fan’s hand at Goodison Park last season.
And his first outing in Saudi Arabia may not come in an Al-Nassr shirt at all, with the forward expected to feature in an exhibition all-star game against Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain this month.
