Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner suffered from a weather-related accident that left him hospitalized on Sunday. The actor is in “critical but stable” condition, as per Deadline, after sustaining an injury while plowing snow.

Accidents during the holiday season are very common due to the weather condition in some places that experience snow. According to Reno Gazette-Journal, the Marvel actor owns a home in the area where the incident happened. His abode is near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, twenty-five miles outside Reno.

As the unstable weather condition continues to persist in the Northern American region, it saw another winter storm on New Year’s Eve. This caused a major power interruption to about 35,000 homes in Northern Nevada’s Washoe, Carson, Douglas, Storey, and Lyon counties.

In a report from Deadline, Renner was airlifted early Sunday and was brought to the nearest hospital. The actor’s spokesperson confirmed that he is with his family now and that the Hawkeye lead is receiving “excellent care” after “experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today.”
The 51-year-old actor is a two-time Oscar nominee, the lead star in the Disney+ Hawkeye series and Paramount+ The Mayor of Kingstown series. He received Academy Award nominations for The Hurt Locker (2008) and The Town (2010).

His other notable projects include Marvel Studios’ The Avengers (2012), American Hustle (2013), and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015). Renner also previously appeared in Taylor Sheridan’s film Wind River (2017) with Marvel co-star Elizabeth Olsen.
