Natalie Maree, 30, from Roebourne, Western Australia, and her husband Kahn, who labored for years to conceive their two-year-old daughter Kiki, were surprised to learn they were expecting again.
Two years ago, she and her husband Kahn were elated when they discovered she was expectant with their daughter Kiki.
But the couple was even more surprised when Natalie learned she was expecting quadruplets last year, with the mother exclaiming, “My jaw dropped.”
She stated, “While squinting at the pixelated screen, I noticed two sacs. I pointed and exclaimed, “Twins!”
When the sonographer informed her she was incorrect, she inquired whether she was carrying triplets.
“However, the sonographer gently shook his head. Then, without saying a word, he raised four fingers!” she continued, adding that her husband, Kahn, ‘nearly fainted.
Natalie delivered the quadruplets via C-section at 34 weeks, after months of weekly examinations to assess the condition of the infants. Maioha Kahn (2,3 kilograms), Frankee Gene (1.92 kilograms), Marley Rose (2,2 kilograms), and Maddison Grace (2,1 kilograms) were delivered on July 21 within minutes of one another.
She has since updated her Instagram page, Kiki and the quads, with adorable photos of her family.
She described as “amazing” how four cells “fused together” to give her children life.
Natalie disclosed that it takes her and Kahn one and a half hours to feed all four infants, indicating that life has become hectic since the birth of the additional four children.
She explained that the moment they fall asleep, she begins “counting down” until the next feeding.
She has also posted a photo of herself postpartum, praising her “amazing” body for carrying her twins.
The proud mother wrote, “Every time I look back at these photographs, they truly STUN ME! Is not the human organism INCREDIBLE? I mean, truly!
“Our organs change and our bodies expand to accommodate an infant or fetuses. Then, it nourishes and protects our young until they are mature enough to leave the nest.
“Your physiology MIGHT or MIGHT NOT be the same after giving birth! BUT when you consider what it has done, that is irrelevant!
