Being turned into a source of entertainment for children has caused this poor dog to suffer immensely. Many people adopt pets solely based on their cute and intelligent appearances, while neglecting their proper care and treatment. Recently, the image of a small dog being turned into a toy by children who coated it with glue and dipped it into a muddy puddle has outraged many animal lovers.
The small dog, Pascal, who lives in Istanbul, Turkey, went through a horrifying experience when children pushed him into the mud and left him there to fend for himself in the sticky mess. After struggling to escape, Pascal’s fur was covered in a layer of “concrete” (a mixture of glue and mud) that hardened and prevented him from moving properly. This layer of fur not only hindered his movement but also impeded blood flow to his body parts, putting his health in dire straits.
After being used as a plaything and abandoned, the dog had to wander for several days in a state of fear, exhaustion, and anxiety. However, luck smiled upon him, and a kind person found him and immediately took him to a medical center for rescue. Here, the doctors who received Pascal said: “When he was brought to the center, Pascal groaned in pain and always curled up. He was seriously injured, his eyes always gazed down at the ground helplessly, and the small dog looked like he had aged decades after the recent shock.”
After undergoing several examinations, the small dog’s outer layer of “concrete” was removed. However, due to the late discovery and the impact of poor blood circulation, one of Pascal’s ears had suffered severe necrosis. After blood tests, vaccinations against infectious diseases, and intensive care, Pascal’s condition improved significantly.
The story of the small dog Pascal created a strong public outcry as soon as it was posted on social media. Many people vehemently condemned the “cruel” prank of these children who put the life of a small dog at risk for their own entertainment. At the same time, this is also a warning bell about the increasing trend of animal abuse in recent times.
It is important for people to understand that animals are living beings that deserve respect and proper care. Adopting a pet should not be solely based on their appearance or cuteness, but also on the ability to provide them a safe and happy life. It is essential to educate children from a young age to treat animals with kindness and compassion, and to understand the consequences of animal abuse. Through awareness and collective effort, we can create a better world for both humans and animals.
