It is day three of the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.
The psychological drama Causeway, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Brian Tyree Henry, is among the films making its world premiere.
Lawrence made her grand arrival to the Royal Alexandra Theatre looking elegant in a sheer black gown.
Lawrence, 32, who also served as a producer on the movie, oozes confidence as she struck poses for photographers on the red carpet.
The striking number from Dior Haute Couture hung off the actress’ shoulders and it ultra sheer skirt put her toned legs on display.
The sheer fabric was also used for both arms, while the neckline had a frayed style to give it a touch of edginess.
Rounding out her overall look, the leading lady stepped out in a pair of black strappy heels, and styled her blonde tresses long and flowing to about the middle of her back with an extreme part on the left.
Lawrence also took some time out to snuggle up next to Henry, 40, who was decked out in a pinkish suit and dress shirt and brown leather shoes.
The two stars of the film, which is the first project from Lawrence’s production company Excellent Cadaver, also joined up for a group photo with co-star Linda Emond and director Lila Neugebauer and producer Justine Ciarrocchid.
Neugebauer helmed the film from a script by Elizabeth Sanders, Luke Goebel and Ottessa Moshfegh that also stars Stephen McKinley Henderson, Jayne Houdyshell, Russell Harvard, Joshua Hull and Fred Weller, among others.
In Causeway, Lawrence plays a U.S. soldier who returns home to New Orleans after suffering a traumatic brain injury while serving in Afghanistan, according to Variety. She struggles to return to her daily life with her mother as she waits for her eventual redeployment.
Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney are the proud parents of a boy Cy, whom she revealed is named after the late American painter, sculptor and photographer, Cy Twombly.
Causeway is scheduled to be released theatrically and on Apple TV+ on November .
The Toronto International Film Festival kicked off on Thursday and runs through until Sunday, September 18.
