“They were covered in mud. The puppies also seemed confused and helpless. They wouldn’t even have survived if Surachet hadn’t been there.” fsrn writes. What a beautiful thing they got out of the mud.
That day, a Thai man named Surachet Klaevkla was on his way to work in the morning. He suddenly heard strange noises. A scream or a creak and the sounds were coming from the ground. He looked around and discovered a hole. Something was moving in the deep mud on the ground. The brave man decided to climb in and rescue whatever the creature was!
But what was there?
There were 5 tiny puppies!
At first he thought he saw rocks covered in mud, but soon he realized he had found five little puppies in need of help.
Without hesitation, Surachet pulled the grate out of the well and fell into it. Then he carefully picked up each of the muddy dogs and carried them to dry ground. If he hadn’t come, the cute puppies might have drowned. It was the rainy season in Thailand and they were completely stranded. The poor puppies were covered from head to toe in thick, dirty putty and their mother was nowhere to be found.
Luckily, someone who managed to save the day more than once found them! The man took all the puppies home. He took a day off work to look after the puppies. The whole family helped him bathe and clean the babies, then they fed them and went to bed.
They happily learned that the puppies were completely healthy! Their cute faces made Surachet’s heart beat faster and made her even more determined to find a wonderful new family for the puppies.
He thought it wouldn’t be too difficult to find them a new home and in October 2018, he posted photos of their rescue on Facebook. It didn’t take long for the post to go viral. Thousands of people congratulated Surachet for saving the puppies lives and were excited for their little puppies.
How could they not be? They are adorable! The Surachet family decided to keep them all for themselves, as they saw the puppies as a sign of good luck.
It was no coincidence that Surachet was near the pit that morning, and it was no coincidence that they had the opportunity to save little lives.
