Manchester United are plotting a club-record offer for Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos this summer, according to reports.
United boss Erik ten Hag is said to be planning a major summer rebuild at Old Trafford.
Billionaires Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani are vying to become the new owners of the Red Devils and could take over from the Glazers in time to finance Ten Hag’s ambitions.
With Anthony Martial’s lack of form and fitness, Wout Weghorst’s loan not set to be renewed and Marcus Rashford’s preference to play on the left, the Dutchman is keen to overhaul his ailing attack with Tottenham and England star Harry Kane.
And according to the Mirror, the Red Devils are planning to buy Ramos as well as their No 1 target Kane in the summer transfer window.

The Ramos approach is said to be as well as, not instead of, a move for Tottenham’s Harry Kane
Ramos is widely seen as one of the most promising players in Europe after scoring 17 Primeira Liga goals this season, 25 in all competitions.
The 21-year-old displaced veteran superstar Cristiano Ronaldo from the Portugal side at the Qatar World Cup and impressed with his all-action performances, scoring a hat-trick against Switzerland in the last 16.
United are said to be willing to play up to nine figures for Ramos’ signature, with a deal between £70-100million, including add-ons, reportedly being discussed.
Any fee more than the £89m they paid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba back in 2016 would represent a club-record fee.
Kane became the outright second-top Premier League goalscorer of all time when he powered home a header in a 1-0 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is a notoriously tough negotiator and it could be tough to conclude a deal, even with the 29-year-old entering the final year of his contract this summer.
As such, negotiations with Portuguese side Benfica – who traditionally sell their best players on for a handy profit – could be easier to complete.
United, who have already won the League Cup, face rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final and are poised to finish in the top four, guaranteeing them Champions League football next season. Up next they host Wolves on Saturday.
