Mo Salah & His Daughter Share Some Pearls Of Wisdom With Young Footballers In A Zoom Video Chat

Egyptian national treasure Mohamed Salah along with his daughter Makkah had a group video chat with a number of young footballers and he gave them some pearls of wisdom about ambition, success and how to be a good football player.

The group chat was organized by Vodafone Egypt and posted on all their social media platforms. The chat was attended by 10 children (5 boys and 5 girls) all under the age of 11, who play football themselves. The kids got this once in a lifetime opportunity to ask Salah and his daughter any questions they might have about football, as well as about the superstar’s life and his experience being one of the most prominent players in the world right now.

From which match was particularly difficult for him to what he likes to do during his vacation, the children’s questions covered a wide array of topics related to Salah’s life as a professional footballer.

Salah reveals that his daughter Makkah (who is not such an active participant in the conversation, due to the fact that she seems to only speak English) plays football with him at home all the time and she has a passion for the sport already, though he did mention that she has not joined a club or taken any steps towards a professional career in the sport as of yet.

Salah also explains that he trains at home as well as during his practices, revealing to the kids that his training with the team can take up to 3 or 4 hours, and then he returns home and continues training there too, which shouldn’t come as a surprise, you don’t become a master of the sport in such a big way unless you work extra hard to keep up the good work.

The megastar explains how he has reached such great heights in the sport, and explains to the children that when success is an incremental process. He recounts that everytime he achieved something new, he would think about how he could best himself and move up even higher. Ambition is certainly important, but so is hard work and Salah is an example to these kids that they have to work hard to get to where they want (in life as well as in the sport.)

Makkah was a little bit miffed that she wasn’t an active participant in the conversation and turns to her dad at one point in the video to ask him why she is silent and they are all talking. He asks her to jump in, to which she replies that she doesn’t know Arabic that well. And when one of the children on the video chat, Nadine reveals in Arabic that she is 9 years old, Makkah asks what “tes3a (nine)” means to which her dad responds with “Nine.”

Salah is using his fame to be a good role model for everyone, and this video reminds us why we love him so much!
