MEGASTAR Taylor Swift is dating another Brit — The 1975 frontman Matty Healy.
Taylor and Matty are ready to go public with their romance in Nashville, Tennessee, where the US singer performs this weekend.
It comes a month after it was revealed US singer-songwriter Taylor, 33, had split from actor Joe Alwyn, 32, after six years.
A source close to Taylor said: “She and Matty are madly in love. It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago but timings just didn’t work out.
“Taylor and Joe actually split up back in February, so there was absolutely no crossover.
“Both Matty and Taylor have been touring over the past few weeks, so it’s been a lot of Face-Timing and texting but she cannot wait to see him again.
“But as two international megastars, they understand the pressures of one another’s jobs better than anyone, and are incredibly supportive of their respective careers.
“They are both massively proud and excited about this relationship and, unlike Taylor’s last one — which was very much kept out of the spotlight, deliberately — she wants to ‘own’ this romance, and not hide it away.
“Taylor just wants to live her life, and be happy. She’s told pals Matty is flying to Nashville over the weekend to support her on the next leg of her tour.”
Eagle-eyed fans have already been speculating the US singer — whose famous British exes include Joe, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston — is seeing Matty.
Just as Taylor famously leaves “Easter eggs” — secret clues to her fans — in her content, so Matty, too, appears to have hinted at their blossoming relationship.
In January — before they got together — Taylor made a surprise appearance on stage at London’s O2 on the first night of The 1975’s sell-out At Their Very Best tour.
She performed two tracks, The City and Anti-Hero, during which Matty referred to her as “the Queen”.
Taylor was then pictured backstage with his mum, ex-Corrie actress Denise, 64, which sent fans into social media meltdown.
Details of her split from her rumoured fiancé Joe were then conveniently leaked on April 8 — Matty’s 34th birthday — which fans believed was Taylor’s “gift” to her new boyfriend.
Last month the Sex singer appeared to reference Taylor’s own hugely successful tour, Eras, when discussing his decision to quit all social media.
Matty, whose dad is Benidorm actor Tim Healy, 71, explained:
“Everything happens in eras.
“The 1975 is a very eras band. The era of me being a f***ing a**hole is coming to an end.”
While multi-millionaire, multi-Grammy award-winner Taylor is now with Matty, her ex Joe is also said to have moved on.
He has been linked with Scottish actress Emma Laird, 24, after they met on the Hungarian set of upcoming movie The Brutalist.
In 2014, when Taylor and Matty first briefly dated, the singer was spotted wearing a 1975 T-shirt during one of their gigs, and was seen singing along to The City.
Last November Matty, a four-time Brit winner, confirmed his band had collaborated with Taylor on her album Midnights. However, their work never made the final cut.
The friend added: “Taylor’s pals are absolutely delighted because they reckon she and Matty are a brilliant match.
“Obviously putting two such famous names together means a lot of fan attention and a LOT of eyeballs on the pair.
“But Matty and Taylor are sensible enough, and fame-equipped enough, to handle it. Both of them have been — often unfairly — dragged through the ringer on a global scale.
“But crucially, they’re both brilliant, smart, kind people and, quite simply, have each other’s backs.”
While Taylor, who won a legion of new fans after her recent Netflix doc Miss Americana, is the planet’s highest-paid female musician, Matty is a household name in the US where the band is huge.
Outspoken feminist Taylor, who has sold more than 120 million records worldwide and has 257 million followers on Instagram, is renowned for writing songs about her acrimonious break-ups.
In 2012 she dated heart-throb Harry, 29, and later reportedly wrote the track Style about him.
The singer, who came out as pro-Democrat and anti-Trump in 2018, dated DJ Calvin Harris, 39, for 15 months before they split in 2016.
Within weeks she was snapped kissing Night Manager actor Tom Hiddleston, 42 — with fans dubbing the unlikely pair “Hiddleswift”.
Days later, Calvin and Taylor removed all pictures of each other from Instagram.
Last May Taylor was awarded an honorary doctorate from New York University, and discussed the public obsession with her relationships.
In a passionate speech, she said: “Having the world treat my love life like a spectator sport in which I lose every single game was not a great way to date in my teens and twenties, but it taught me to protect my private life fiercely,”
Matty split from singer-songwriter FKA Twigs, 35, after three years last June. In December he was linked to Canadian model Charlotte Briar d’Alessio, 24.
A spokesmen for Matty and Taylor declined to comment.
