Tongues were wagging in the wee hours after the Met Gala when Kylie Jenner was spotted leaving hospitality guru Richie Akiva, Doja Cat and Diddy’s party at the Box before she could enter.
“They wouldn’t let her in,” says a witness. “They shut the door down because it was over capacity.”
Another source tells us when Kylie arrived after midnight to meet up with her sister Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny — who were already inside — but there were over 100 people clamoring to get to the door, causing a “chaotic scene.”
We’re told Kylie was a welcome VIP and waited to be escorted into the bash through a side door — but she got out of her car before organizers were ready for her arrival.
We hear Kylie Jenner was held at the door of a party when she arrived in the middle of a mass of people.
“She prematurely got out of her car,” says the source. “Then she decided to go home because she didn’t want to be at a crowded party. She rarely goes to clubs.”
Another source tells us they also saw Janelle Monae — who had performed on top of the bar during a posh party at the Boom Boom Room earlier — and “Gossip Girl” star Evan Mock turned away because the door was closed due to capacity.
“The door was rushed by crowds many times,” says another source.
We hear some 200 people were turned away from the rager.
The cops even showed up at one point and did not go inside, but rather helped manage the crowds and keep the street clear.
While another tells us of the scene, “At 6 a.m., a line of limos and SUVs were down the street.”
Those lucky enough to make it inside included Gisele Bündchen, Emily Ratajkowski, Mary J Blige, Lil Nas X, Paris Hilton and Anna Wintour’s daughter, Bee Carrozzini.
Also at the bash: Naomi Campbell was hanging with British Vogue editor Edward Enninful while Jared Leto toted around the giant head of his Choupette the cat costume.
Comedian Chris Rock hit the dance floor, and Teyana Taylor did a surprise performance.
Co-host Diddy also got on the mic for 20 minutes, said a spy, who also told us that the waiters were dressed like Met Gala honoree, Karl Lagerfeld.
