Robert Downey Jr gained global prominence due to his portrayal of Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Paul Bettany is widely recognized for his portrayal of Vision in the MCU. But before physically appearing in the franchise, he voiced the role of Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr) AI companion, J.A.R.V.I.S.
The actor in an interview with Digital Spy admitted that he “knows nothing” about the Iron Man series, despite lending his voice to one of the closest companions to Downey Jr’s role.
As per IMBD, voicing the AI was his “easiest job ever.”
Stating to the outlet, he shared,
“I feel like a pirate. This is robbery. I walk in, I say some lines on a piece of paper for two hours, and then they give me a bag of money and I leave and I go about my day.”
The Star Wars actor didn’t have to do physical acting, which is why he felt guilty about getting a lot of money. While he enjoyed working as J.A.R.V.I.S, his role got expanded in the franchise as the actor later played Vision in the MCU. He is reportedly set to return to the franchise with a new series that will focus on his character.

He also shared that the filming would likely begin in 2024, adding that fans should “expect Vision-related characters.” While this could be a great update for Vision fans, the franchise or Disney is yet to confirm the project.
