Tim Duncan fans had every reason to celebrate. The San Antonio Spurs legend turned 47 on Tuesday, and on that occasion, fans believed that he was a Top five player of all time.
Earlier, Ballislife wished the icon with a post that outlined some of his greatest achievements.
And this had former NBA star, Evan Turner declare that Duncan deserved to be in the Top 5 of all fans — a sentiment that was echoed by fans.
One fan believed he was a Top 3 power forward.
A fan believed Duncan would still be a force in today’s version of the game.
“Nobody really talks about how good Tim Duncan was. Top 5 all time,” a tweet read.
The Spurs wouldn’t be the side they are without the forward. Together with Gregg Popovich and David Robinson, ‘The Big Fundamental’ as he was known led the side to their first title in 1999 and then laid the foundation for five more titles over the next 15 years.

The five-time NBA champion spent his entire 19-year NBA career with the Spurs and was looked the team’s most influential figure during the 2000s for the side.
Duncan was more than just the titles. He was a three-time NBA Finals MVP, a two-time MVP, made the All-NBA team 15 times, and also locked in the All-Defense unit 15 times.
To his credit, he was also one of the only MVPs to have played all 82 games in a regular season, which showed his athleticism and fitness levels as a player. The Spurs could honestly use a player of Duncan’s caliber right now. They endured a torrid run this season finishing last with a 22-60 record. But then, it’s not everyday you see a player like him.
