Chris Hemsworth has become one of the busiest working actors in Hollywood since landing the lead role of Thor in the hit Marvel movie franchise.
And on Monday, the 36-year-old showed that he is a real-life superhero after he surprised one of his biggest fans in hospital with a personalised video message.
The 36-year-old sent the heartfelt message to Roan Clarkson, who is battling a brain tumour at Coffs Harbour Base Hospital, after the nurses reached out to him for help.

The staff had been trying to contact Chris to be part of a special ‘heroes’ video for Roan’s 21st birthday, but so far they had only received videos from Game of Throne’s Emilia Clarke and Viking’s Travis Fimmel.
Desperate to make Roan’s superhero wish come true, his friends spread the word, and eventually contacted the God of Thunder himself, who was happy to help.
In the video, which was posted to Roan’s Facebook on Monday, Chris gave him a shout out, saying that he had spoken to his mum and was thinking of him.

‘I’ve heard all about your story and what an incredibly amazing person you are, and I just wanted to say your courage and bravery is truly inspirational mate,’ Chris said.
‘I know you’ve got a lot of people around you who love and support you, but I just want to send you all my love and support too, and say I’m thinking of you.’
He concluded the video by saying: ‘Lots of love, mate, cheers!’

Chris’ heartfelt message came after he recently revealed that the next installment of the Marvel franchise will be filmed in Sydney.
The Australian actor revealed the news during a press conference in the NSW capital.
‘Its an interesting feeling after End Game because it was like where do you go from there, but it’s about making great films and to still be a part of the Marvel/Disney family and to be able to make another film is fantastic,’ Chris said at the time.
Filming is believed to be taking place at Fox Studios.
