The wOᴍᴀɴ called her midwife and photographer when she knew she wouldn’t make it to the hospital and that the delivery would happen in the car. The smoothness of everything, despite the hassle, was surprising. “One gives birth nicely in the car, the other snaps gorgeous shots,” one Internet user said.
Bʀᴀᴢɪʟ’s Gabriela Correia, 33, is a midwife. She gave birth to her second son very recently. Everything about this delivery went as the labouring wOᴍᴀɴ had hoped because it had been carefully planned. When Arthur was born, it was entirely different in the second instance.
In the hospital, Gabriela was to give birth to her second son. The Pʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ wOᴍᴀɴ and her husband jumped in the car and drove to the hospital when the contractions started. Due to the shipping being too quick, they did not arrive.
When the couple realized the ʙᴀʙʏ would be born in the car, they summoned Deborah Ghelᴍᴀɴ, the photographer who was meant to capture the moment, their midwife friend Larissa Gomes, doula Joany Nunes, and other guests.
The women quickly arrived and assisted in the safe delivery of young Arthur. A poignant film was made of his birth in addition to beautiful images.
The delivery was swift and unexpected. Although I had good support, there was no time, the newly baked mother reflected on the Globo portal’s pages. The photographer admitted that she observed and captured “her” first labour outside of a hospital. I felt a variety of things, but I was never afraid. Everyone in the car was giggling and beaming, she continues.
Several comments from happy Internet users were posted beneath the clip that was made public. They offered their congratulations to the parents on the growth of the family. They were sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇd by how calmly the childbirth was going on, after all. It’s exhilarating, quick, and crazy, they wrote. Only people who have experienced similar circumstances can answer. And even more so while driving.
