LeBron James just played in his 20th season, becoming only the 10th player in league history to reach this milestone. The difference between him and the others is that he’s still very much one of the best players in the league. His numbers from this season back it up, as James has shattered multiple records for a player in Year 20.

James primarily took records from Kobe Bryant, who retired after his 20th season. Kobe still holds the highest score for someone in Year 20 with his 60-point retirement game. James surpassed Dirk Nowitzki for double-doubles while he surpassed Kevin Garnett for most rebounds in Year 20.
These are all-time names in this conversation, and James has managed to continue playing at his peak while these legends slowed down heavily by the time they were in Year 20. LeBron averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in 55 games this season.
LeBron James Looking To Be The Oldest Finals MVP?
The Los Angeles Lakers are fringe contenders for the 2023 NBA Championship after proving their worth as one of the best teams in the league since the trade deadline. If they want to contend for a title, LeBron James will be tasked with carrying them forward and finding the magic he did in 2020 to lead them to the title then.
Anthony Davis is going to be a key component as well, with James possibly letting him be the primary star to conserve his health. The playoffs are where James turns it up, and Laker fans will be hopeful he can push to bring a championship, even though they have to first win their play-in game against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight.
