Kevin Durant is one of the greatest players we have ever seen, and he is in the midst of another outstanding season.
He has been so great, that Kyle Kuzma believes Durant is having one of the greatest seasons he has ever seen.
“KD is having one of the greatest seasons I’ve ever seen,” Kuzma said.
Durant is averaging 29.1 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 5.0 APG, 0.7 SPG, and 1.4 BPG this season while being extremely efficient. He is shooting 56.0% from the field, 40.4% from beyond the arc, and 91.9% from the line. As StatMuse points out, no one has ever had shooting splits of 55/40/90% while averaging 10+ PPG, and Durant is almost at 30.
If Durant had stayed healthy and never left the Brooklyn Nets, he’d probably have been in the MVP race. He has had a special season and one can hope that he stays healthy the rest of the way. The Phoenix Suns are yet to lose a game when he plays and they have a great chance of making it to the NBA Finals if their stars like Durant and Devin Booker stay healthy.
Kevin Durant Had A Hilarious Reaction After An Analyst Brought Up His Insane Efficiency
NBA analyst Shane Young pointed out just how efficient Durant has been this season, as he has shot over 60% on two-pointers to go with his numbers from beyond the arc and the free-throw line. Durant, who spends so much time on social media, saw it and took a hilarious shot at the NBA by saying it doesn’t count because he didn’t play 65 games.
The new rules from next season require players to feature in at least 65 games to be eligible for various awards. KD is clearly not too fond of the rule but the NBA had to take some measures to incentivize players to play more. Durant is not the only big name to not be too pleased about this new rule, as Draymond Green also had big issues with it.
