At present, I am particularly obsessed with achieving one of my many lifelong dreams.
So much so, that I have been pinning images to do with this dream for a good number of years now.
This dream being, what I can only imagine many people would dream of, the opportunity to own a holiday home by the sea. You simply cannot beat waking up next to the sea, in my eyes.

So there is one absolute must in my future dream beach home. One lust have with practicality thrown in for good measure and that is a loft bedroom or mezzanine floor, if you wish.A loft is such a great way to save on space and an exciting place for one to sleep. I can hear you now, what about the fall? What about the inconvenience? I am hearing you, hence the reason I’m not jumping at putting a loft up in my own home. But at a beach house is a no brainer.
An amazing mezzanine floor situated above a cabin kitchen designed by Mogas arquitectes is the perfect space saver here.
So why do I like lofts?
Again, a great way to save on space but also, whether it be a small room above a garage, a mezzanine situated off the beach house living area or an outhouse with a loft bedroom, styled right these create such a beautiful space, a sanctuary you might say, for your guests to stay comfortably in and feel relaxed in their own space.

CREDIT: BEN HOSKING Loft bedrooms look great when styled using traditional New York loft apartments as inspiration.Taking on a modern yet industrial approach is the key to achieving this look by using iron beds, industrial lightshades and monochrome bedding or you could look at a slightly Scandi but country style for a more relaxed vibe by using beautiful white linen on the bed.Either way, I always have loved loft bedrooms. Not everyones cuppa tea that’s for sure and a sturdy handrail is most certainly a must.
