You can now listen to the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 soundtrack while awaiting the movie’s release next month.
Marvel fans can now strap in and listen to the official Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 soundtrack while they await the movie’s release next month. Released to Spotify, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn took to social media to announce the soundtracks release saying, “The #GotGVol3 soundtrack is now live. Listen to the music before seeing the film in theaters on May 5.”
The Guardians of the Galaxy soundtracks have become just as crucial and beloved as the movies themselves, with Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill and his love of all things 60s and 70s often guiding the music that is included. Some of the tracks set to feature in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 include an acoustic version of Creep by Radiohead, Reasons by Earth, Wind and Fire, Rainbow’s 1976 song Since You Been Gone, I’m Always Chasing Rainbows by Alice Cooper, and many, many more.
Written and directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will pick up with the titular team adjusting to life on Knowhere when parts of Rocket’s past resurface. In order to protect him, Peter Quill must lead the Guardians on a dangerous mission that could lead to the team dissolving.
The third outing in the Guardians of the Galaxy series once again stars a large ensemble cast that includes Chris Pratt as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord, Zoe Saldaña as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, and Sean Gunn as Kraglin Obfonteri.
The sequel will also introduce a few new characters, characters that will be familiar to Marvel Comics fans, including Chukwudi Iwuji as the High Evolutionary, Maria Bakalova as Cosmo the Spacedog, and the long-awaited debut of Adam Warlock, who is set to be portrayed by The Maze Runner and Midsommar star Will Poulter.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Will Bring Adam Warlock into the MCU
Marvel Studios
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 marks the arrival of the Marvel character, Adam Warlock. Played by Will Poulter, Adam Warlock is a powerful artificial being created by the Sovereign to destroy the Guardians, with James Gunn feeling that audiences are going to quickly fall in love with the all-powerful antagonist. “Oh, he’s the best. He’s the best. He’s killing it. People are going to really love Adam — or love? They’re going to appreciate Adam Warlock, I’ll say,” the filmmaker declared.
Poulter has clearly put in a lot of hard work to bring Adam Warlock to life, and while the character is expected to feature in future Marvel outings, Poulter is currently playing it coy. “Sure. Yeah, you do have to entertain that possibility,” the actor said when asked if Adam Warlock will be seen again following the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. “The truth is, I don’t actually know what the future holds for me regarding the character.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 5, 2023, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
