Knowing that his daughter could hear his voice when she was still in her mother’s ᴡᴏᴍʙ, Brazilian Flávio made sure to talk to her every day. When daughter Antonella was born, she seemed to recognize her father’s voice – and smiled big at him right away.

“A love that cannot fit in the chest”, the father has described his feelings for his newborn daughter.

When a baby is growing in the ᴡᴏᴍʙ, it can begin to perceive sounds from the outside world quite early in the pregnancy. Talking to your sᴛᴏᴍᴀᴄʜ and playing classical music is therefore something that many parents engage in – and so does Brazilian father-to-be Flávio Dantas.

When Flávio’s wife Tarsila was pregnant with their first child, daughter Antonella, he made a point of talking to their baby in Tarsila’ stomach every day, hoping that his daughter would recognize his voice when she was born.

And it turned out as he had hoped! When daughter Antonella was born in 2019, she greeted the world with a big smile when she heard her father’s voice – something that was also immortalized in a magical image, which the website Shared has noticed.

“I cannot explain the feeling I felt at that moment. Every day I talked to my daughter when she was in her mother’s ᴡᴏᴍʙ, I always told her that I loved her, that daddy was there and that I will be the best father in the world. When she was born, how did she repay me? But the most beautiful smile ever,” he writes in a touching post on Instagram.

The parents were of course overjoyed at their daughter’s arrival, and have showered her with love on their social media.

Now the cute family has a long and happy life ahead of them – hopefully filled with smiles!
