Manchester United midfielder, Casemiro has narrated how his mum would work as a housemaid to take care of them after the departure of his father.
Casemiro had a significant turning point in his life when Real Madrid signed him from Palmeiras. He was loaned to FC Porto before returning to leave a trademark signature alongside Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
The Brazilian talked about how his Dad left them when he was only 3 years of age and his mum had a work as a common housemaid for there survival.
Casemiro went on to say he doubts if he’ll be able to recognize his Dad as he doesn’t care about him no more. He also capped about using the first significant amount he got in his football career to buy his mom who took care of him a home.
“My mum used to work as a housemaid every day of the week from Sunday to Sunday after my father left us when I was three years old. I neither remember him nor would I like to know him. What I remember well and proud of is that when I received my first significant amount in my professional football, I went straight to buy a home for my mother who suffered and struggled until I got to where I am now.”

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro was in floods of tears after being sent off against Premier League rivals Southampton – and previous comments may explain his emotions.
It was Casemiro’s second red card in his last three Premier League outings, with some critics now questioning whether the Brazil international is a liability. He has undoubtedly improved United’s midfield, but he is no good to Erik ten Hag if he is suspended.
Casemiro was upset for two reasons. Firstly, he will have to serve a four-game domestic ban; and secondly, he was concerned about injuring an opponent. Southampton midfielder Carlos Alcaraz was lucky to escape the reckless challenge unscathed.
Casemiro was initially booked for the incident by referee Anthony Taylor, but the decision was overturned when VAR official Marc Perry advised his colleague to take another look at it. Taylor was left with little choice but to give Casemiro his marching orders.
The former Real Madrid player wrapped six studs around Alcaraz’s right shin. Casemiro was visibly upset by the incident, as his compatriot Antony consoled him before he trudged down the tunnel. The guilty star also apologised to Alcaraz for the challenge.
Casemiro’s reaction is perhaps best explained by an interview he did with Revista Panenka in February 2022. As a Madrid player, he revealed: “The referee, the fans, I think the key to all of this is that they also see there is no malice.

“I always try to get the ball, I always go strong because that is who I am. I like the intensity that I play with, but there is no malice, I have never gone with studs to hurt a player.
“If someone is going to hurt a player, I get angry because that is not football. In football you can foul, fouls are part of the game. But never with malice. And I think it comes from my values which my mother taught me. And I am never going to hurt a player.
“I am never going to insult a player, I am never going to do anything wrong. Of course, being on the field you can stir up a player, that is normal and it will always happen because each one defends their badge.
“But my values that my mother taught me is never to hurt anyone. I think I am going to keep fouling and receiving cards because that is football, but I believe my values that my mother taught me is never to hurt anyone.”
Casemiro’s recent dismissals are remarkable considering his record in Spain. He was never shown a straight red card during his time at Madrid, despite playing 336 games for the club in all competitions. He was sent off twice for second bookable offences, though.
Casemiro will now miss United’s upcoming Premier League games against Newcastle (away), Everton (home) and Brentford (home) – as well as the FA Cup quarter-final against Fulham at Old Trafford. He has received a four-game ban rather than the customary three because Sunday’s red card was his second of the season.
