It’s not unusual for strangers to become fast friends while working on a film. As coworkers spend more time together, they develop a sense of camaraderie, despite the fact that they may be pretending to be at each other’s throats. As an illustration, Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart have been close friends for a long time. The “mudblood” scene and Hermione’s punch to Draco’s face were two of the best moments in the film, and both Emma Watson and Tom Felton played crucial roles in both. We set out to learn what it took for the actors to maintain their friendship over the years.
Tom Felton was only 13 when he made his Harry Potter debut, whereas Emma Watson was only 10 when she made hers. In the entire series, they played the roles of Draco and Hermione. This project was both a professional high point for them both and the beginning of a lasting friendship that had its origins in Emma’s crush on Tom.
“I entered the classroom where we were receiving instruction. Tom had been given the assignment to create a depiction of God, and instead he had sketched a girl riding a skateboard while wearing a hat backwards. However, I’m at a loss for words because I just adore him..”Emma Watson”
Emma has revealed in interviews that she has a crush on one of her coworkers in the film industry. She gave her heart to Tom. When she had to do scenes with him, she became visibly nervous. Emma’s soft heart didn’t get in the way of her performance as a muggle girl genius student. She smacked him across the face in The Prisoner of Azkaban. “My male ego didn’t exactly know what to do with that,” Felton said, stunned.
“I had a great crush on Tom Felton for the first two movies. My first true crush was on him. He is completely aware of it. In any case, we discussed the matter. We haven’t stopped laughing about it. I like that we have become close friends.” Emma Watson”
However, fate did not have them fall in love with one another. Later, Felton would describe how close they were. He felt Emma was wonderful, but a romantic relationship was “more of a Slytherin-Gryffindor affair than a Tom and Emma one.” Tom claimed he would always look out for her because she was the youngest cast member. Emma played her part perfectly and quickly found herself included in a large group.
“I felt an extreme need to guard her. I’ve always liked her, and that feeling hasn’t faded with time. There has always been a feeling of…I don’t know…kinship.”Tom Felton”
Rupert Grint, one of their coworkers in the movie industry, has spoken out against them. He noted that Emma and Tom seemed to have a natural attraction to one another. Something was always going on. Sure, we were young, but that doesn’t change the facts. There weren’t any sparks between us, just like there aren’t in any playground romances. No fires sprang out in me.
Emma and Tom are as close as ever, even more over 20 years since the release of the first film. Watson can whine to Tom about everything from a broken faucet to a lack of dog food. In addition, Tom frequently travels to Los Angeles to have dinner with her.
In his book Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard, Felton had kind words to say about Emma, and he frequently updates his Tumblr with throwback photographs and videos of little Emma on the set of Harry Potter. Emma was actually the one who pushed Tom to write the book openly. Felton has admitted that he has always had feelings for Emma, but they weren’t romantic like many of his followers would like to think.
The actress claims that several people advised her and Tom to try dating, or at least kissing. Watson, though, maintains that the close bond they share is superior. She claims that the two of them complete each other and that Felton thinks the world of her.
A healthy connection can exist between people of different sexes, as demonstrated here. Even though there was romantic interest in the beginning, that doesn’t mean the two people involved can’t wind up becoming good friends.
Meeting up with her at random is usually a pleasant surprise. She’s a bright and beautiful young woman, and it’s great to see her every once in a while and remember a little while also discussing plans for the future. Tom Fletcher
Why do you think Emma and Tom ended up just being friends instead of dating? How much closer can friends get than a romantic partner?
