As per stats website Squawka, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have scored the most goals between any three teammates in a single Champions League campaign.
The Liverpool trio rank top in the ‘iconic trios’ list with 30 goals combined in the 2017/18 Champions League. Sadly, the Reds lost that year’s final to Real Madrid.
They are two ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale’s tally and three goals ahead of the iconic ‘MSN’ – Messi, Suarez and Neymar attack.
Squawka praise the trio: “Together they’ve reached three Champions League finals (lifting ‘Big Ears’ in 2019), claimed a first-ever Premier League title for Liverpool, and secured a couple of domestic cup medals this term.
“A magnet for success, Salah-Firmino-Mane will go down in the history books as one of the greatest combinations known.”
Mane’s departure to Bayern sees an end to this trio’s time, while Firmino is not a regular starter for the club now.
