Australian actress Margot Robbie has revealed that she actually got hurt when filming her steamy sex scene with co star Leonardo DiCaprio in Wolf of Wall Street
Hollywood star Margot Robbie has explained that even though the sex scene in Wolf of Wall Street looked steamy , she ended up with “a thousand cuts.”
In the iconic movie nearly ten years ago Margot played Naomi Lapaglia alongside movie legend Leonardo DiCaprio and the pair shared a rather steamy sex scene.
The pair had to have sex on a pile of cash leaving the cast and crew to be concerned about Margot.
The Hollywood star explained that she ended up with “thousands” of paper cuts.
She told The Daily Beast : “I got a million paper cuts on my back from all that money! It’s not as glamorous as it sounds.
“If anyone is ever planning on having sex on top of a pile of cash: don’t.”
The Hollywood star was only 23 years old at the time and after she had performed the scene she explained that she got up to “grab her robe” and was greeted by gasps for the crew.
When she asked what was wrong they told her she looked like “she had been whipped a thousand times.”
The producer did offer to dilute the sex scene so that Margot could be more comfortable but she didn’t want to let down her fans.
She told The Telegraph in 2014.: “The whole point of Naomi is that her body is her only form of currency in this world.
“So when Marty [Scorsese] was trying to help me out and said in the scene where she seduces Jordan perhaps I could have a robe on, I said she wouldn’t.
“She has to be naked. She’s laying her cards on the table.”
Even though she wanted to do the sex scene for her fans she has previously said that the whole thing embarrassed her.
She told Porter in 2018: “It doesn’t come across when you’re watching the movie, but in reality, we’re in a tiny bedroom with 30 crew crammed in.
“All men. And for 17 hours I’m pretending to be touching myself. It’s just a very weird thing and you have to bury the embarrassment and absurdity, really deep, and fully commit.”
