From giving birth to their kids to helping them become the best version of themselves, there are simply so many reasons to celebrate the role of a mother in a person’s life. So, to say that moms deserve to have only the best is an understatement. They deserve the world. And what better way to express one’s gratitude than to give them a gift that they will remember for the rest of their lives?
Of course, it’s always the thought that counts, which means even gifts bought at an inexpensive price don’t matter at all as long as it comes from the heart. But for two siblings, giving their mom an extravagant gift purchased with their hard-earned money was how they wanted to make their mom feel special. Their gift? A luxury car.
In 2016, Australian brothers Daniel and Jason Knust gave their mom the best gift they could think up for Christmas when they surprised her with a BMW 3 Series.
Daniel shared a video of the present reveal on Instagram that showed how they surprised their mom with the car, which was parked in the garage and wrapped in a large red bow. Seemingly shocked by the gift, their mom was hesitant to accept the car at first and could only utter the word “No” repeatedly. But then, Jason tried to pull her into the car and she eventually hopped in.
Daniel said no amount of money could replace the sacrifices their mom had made just to give them the best kind of life.
“Showing gratitude to our beautiful Mum who’s worked so hard to give us everything in life. Compared to the sacrifices she has made for us over the years, this is nothing,” he wrote in the caption of his post.

Daniel added that it’s their way of showing their appreciation to their mom and it was something they’d wanted to do for a while.“A little gift to show her how much we appreciate everything she’s done for Jason and I. I’ve wanted to do this for 10 years, and today a long-term dream came true,” Daniel said.Recalling one of the best lessons their mom taught them, Daniel shared, “Hard work pays off, and that’s something our Mum taught us from a very young age that we’ll never forget.”
Speaking with TODAY, Daniel shared how a conversation with their mom — who always wanted to have a BMW for herself — inspired them to give her the best gift she could ever get for Christmas that year.“My mother first said about 10 years ago that she wanted a BMW, and we never forgot that,” he said. “We said that one day we would get her one and we’ve been saving up for it.”The two brothers saved up money for five years. “We put aside a little each week knowing one day we would be able to get her (the car),” he said.
Apparently, their mom stood in as both their mom and their dad growing up, juggling everything on her own. That’s right, she worked multiple jobs at the same time while tending to their needs.
“She brought us up on her own and worked two jobs for most of her life to keep my brother and me in school and give us everything we needed,” Daniel said.
“We watched her go from her full-time job on a Friday, come home, shower, go start another job and work the weekend at a restaurant,” Jason said.
