Chelsea owner Todd Boehly reportedly jetted into the French capital on Tuesday to meet with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi to discuss a potential deal for one of the Parisians superstars.
Boehly has splashed over £600m on new arrivals at Stamford Bridge since taking over the club last year and is looking to spend heavily again in the summer, with the American interested in securing a move for PSG’s Neymar.
The Brazilian is out of contract in 2027 but looks set to leave the Ligue 1 giants in the summer, six years after he joined the club for a world transfer record £200m.
Chelsea’s American owner flew into Paris and met with the PSG president to discuss numerous issues, most notably a possible transfer for the skilful star, according to Le Parisien.
Neymar has emerged as a troublesome problem for PSG to deal with in recent seasons and even more questions were raised about his future in France after he admitted to recent disagreements with team-mate Marquinhos and the club’s sporting director Luis Campos.
Neymar could leave PSG in the summer having spent six years at the Ligue 1 giants
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly reportedly flew into Paris for talks with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi over a deal for Neymar
PSG could look to sell the unhappy star in a summer deal that would see Chelsea attempt to bring the 31-year-old to Stamford Bridge.
Boehly was apparently encouraged by talks that took place in Paris and felt there wasn’t much resistance from Al-Khelaifi with regards to pursuing a transfer for the attacker.
PSG would be unable to recoup the entirety of the huge fee they previously paid for Neymar, however Chelsea would represent them with an opportunity to demand a higher price given the club’s recent spending.
Chelsea spent in excess of £320m in the January transfer window, breaking the British record in a deal that saw Enzo Fernandez arrive for £107m and Mykhailo Mudryk move to London for £88m.

Neymar would represent a new challenge for under-pressure Blues boss Graham Potter to deal with given the Brazilian’s superstar status and the controversy he causes with his on-pitch attitude and failure to hide his feelings.
He would join Thiago Silva in becoming the club’s second current Brazilian player and would add undoubted experience to a young Chelsea attack thriving with potential but lacking composure and goals. Something Neymar would provide.
Some Chelsea fans may not be keen on seeing their owners throw big-money down on a player over the age of 30, but his star-studded effect remains relevant, having scored 17 goals and registered 16 assists in all competitions this season.
However the serial title-winner failed to impress in Tuesday’s home defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Both Neymar and Argentina’s World Cup winning hero Lionel Messi were handed 3/10 match ratings by French newspaper L’Equipe.
