Russia intends to show an export version of its Su-57E Felon fighter jet. Russia’s largest arms trading company, Rosoboronexport, announced the news to reporters. The Su-57E will be displayed in India at the Aero India 2023 International Air Show in Bangalore.

The exhibition starts on February 13 and ends on February 17. This is the 14th Aero India Expo. Besides the Su-57E, Rosoboronexport reported that the Su-75 Checkmate will also be displayed in India. It is not clear from the statement of the Russian company whether a working prototype of the Su-75 will be displayed at the exhibition or mockup.

Rosoboronexport plans to present 200 samples in India. In the short press release of the Russian commercial company, the Su-57 was called “a promising fifth-generation multi-role fighter”. In 2019, Russia introduced its export Su-57E for the first time. This happened during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition.
According to Rosoboronexport, the Su-57E is equipped with the latest generation of Russian-developed avionics. The aircraft has armament complexes and a high level of automation.
Russia plans to deploy a few more aircraft to its commercial area of Aero India. Among them is the MiG-35D, which according to some analysts, including Western ones, is one of Russia’s best fighter jets, but is sorely overlooked by Moscow. Along with this front-line fighter, the Su-35 and Su-30СМЕ will also be presented.

An important highlight besides the Su-57E will be the presence of the Ka-226T light multipurpose helicopter. India is eagerly awaiting the launch of the Ka-226T. Its production will start almost immediately after the end of the exhibition. This helicopter will be manufactured in India at the joint Russian-Indian production Indo-Russian Helicopters Limited.
Russia will introduce three more key helicopters from Rosoboronexport’s portfolio. According to Russian comments, these will be the three most sought-after helicopters in the Asia-Pacific region. We are talking about the combat helicopters Ka-52E, Mi-28NE, and the military transport helicopter Mi-171Sh.
