New Fast X images reveal a fresh look at Vin Diesel’s Dom and first looks at two of the film’s new characters, Jason Momoa’s villain and Brie Larson’s Tess. Directed by Louis Leterrier, the upcoming 10th installment of the popular Fast & Furious franchise is set to take the franchise to even greater heights, boasting a massive cast of both new and returning characters. The upcoming installment is expected to serve as the penultimate entry in the franchise with an 11th and seemingly final film already in the works.
As the Fast X release date inches closer, Empire has released new images from the upcoming sequel, showing off new looks at Diesel, Larson, and Momoa’s characters

One image features Dom next to his classic Dodge Charger inside what appears to be either a train or cargo plane. While Larson’s Tess remains mysterious, one image features her character holding a shotgun, suggesting she won’t be someone to be messed with. Momoa has already teased that his villain, Dante, will be a “sadistic” addition to the franchise.

Everything We Know About Fast X’s New Characters
Fast X is bringing back franchise regulars like Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Sung Kang, and Nathalie Emmanuel, but has also added a host of actors to the cast. In addition to Larson and Momoa, Fast X also features newcomers like Rita Moreno, Alan Ritchson, Michael Rooker, and Daniela Melchior, among others. Momoa has revealed that audiences can expect his villain to be a surprising character, describing him as a “very flamboyant bad boy.”
While some have theorized that Larson’s Tess could be Brian O’Connor’s sister, this currently remains unconfirmed and little is officially known about the character just yet. Melchior’s character, whose name has not yet been revealed, also remains very mysterious, but the actress has previously shared images of herself on set. In the images, Melchior is spotted with tattoos on her arms and the set she stands on is a mock-up of a freeway that Diesel previously described as the setting for a big action sequence.
Ritchson, as well, has appeared in some behind-the-scenes footage from Fast X wearing a bulletproof vest. It’s currently unclear, however, whether his character’s allegiances will lie with Dom, with Dante, or with somebody else entirely. Unfortunately, not much is known about Rooker’s role in the film just yet. While Fast X undeniably has a very impressive cast, the film’s biggest challenge may actually be balancing all of these new and returning characters and fitting them into a satisfying story.
